Effective 20 August 2026. We will tell you before a material change takes effect.
This policy lists what we store in your browser, why, and how long it lasts. Nothing optional is stored until you choose it, and you can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.
1. The four categories
- Strictly necessary — without these you cannot sign in or use the product safely. They are always on and cannot be switched off.
- Functional — remember interface choices so the product looks the way you left it.
- Analytics — help us see which features are used and what is broken.
- Marketing — measure campaigns and referrals, and support advertising vendors.
2. Strictly necessary
- Session cookie — keeps you signed in. Up to 7 days.
- cc_consent — remembers the cookie choice you made on this page. Up to 180 days, after which we ask again.
- cc-beta — the closed-beta invitation pass. 14 days.
- cc_pv — carries a pending email address between sign-up and email verification. 20 minutes.
- Workspace tab claim — stored in your browser's session storage so two open tabs cannot write into the wrong workspace. Cleared when the tab closes.
- cc_impersonate — set only when a member of our support staff is acting inside an account with permission, so the banner saying so can be shown. 30 minutes.
- Cross-site request protection — protects forms from being submitted by another site.
3. Functional
- sidebar_state — whether the sidebar is open or collapsed.
- Interface preferences — panel layouts, editor settings, recently used colours and similar, kept in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are not sent to us.
4. Analytics
- Our own product analytics — page views and feature use inside the signed-in application, with your IP address, device and, while signed in, your account. It runs only if you allow analytics, and never if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
- Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity — loaded only after you allow analytics.
5. Marketing
- cc_ref — records that you arrived through someone's referral link, so they get credit if you sign up. Up to 400 days. Set only with marketing consent.
- Meta Pixel, TikTok and LinkedIn Insight — loaded only after you allow marketing.
6. Changing your mind
Use Cookie settings in the footer, or Settings → Privacy inside the product. Withdrawing takes exactly one click, the same as giving consent. You can also delete cookies in your browser at any time; if you do, we will ask you again.
Refusing optional cookies does not reduce what the product does for you. It only stops the measurement.
